Join us for “Founders’ Edition: Illuminating Our Origins” cemetery tour. Hear the stories of the area’s founding families who are buried here — names like Russell, Sperry, and Patterson that still echo through and shape our community.
The tour will be at the Chester Township Cemetery, right across from Bremecs on 306.
The tour is recommended for ages 8+ and is a family experience, not a drop‑off program.
Children will need to be accompanied by at least one supervising adult from their family or group for the entire tour. (Ex. If a mom was bringing her daughter and a couple of friends, the mom would need to stay and be responsible for the tree kids.)
What will YOUR child’s alien planet look like? Kids will be taught to draw in 3-D (1-point perspective) and draw their alien planet as seen from space. Taught by local artist Jill Bascom.

Girl power! Middle and high school girls will gather at the West Geauga public library after school to learn essential self defense skills. Taught by Sensei Jayne, owner of Okinawan Karate Center of Chesterland.

Make your own treasure box! Taught by carpenter Ken Powell from Reddi Properties, LLC, you’ll work with real wood and hardware to assemble your own box to take home.
